Your trainer

Hi, I'm Megan.

I've spent the last eight years working hands-on with dogs as a groomer at Pawsome Dog Wash & Grooming, and the last two working as a dog trainer. Grooming taught me how much dogs tell us through their body language — and how much easier life is for a dog who feels safe and understood.

I use science-based training methods, grounded in how dogs actually learn: clear communication, well-timed reinforcement, and setting dogs up to succeed rather than waiting for them to get it wrong.

FAQ

Common questions

Where do sessions happen?
Private sessions are held at your home or a local park. Group classes run at Campbelltown Performing Arts High School. Megan is based in Campbelltown and travels across Campbelltown, Macarthur & South West Sydney.
What training methods does Megan use?
I use science-based training methods, grounded in how dogs actually learn: clear communication, well-timed reinforcement, and setting dogs up to succeed rather than waiting for them to get it wrong. The aim is skills that hold up in real life, not just in a lesson.
How much does dog training cost?
Private training is from $80; group classes are $180 for the six-week course. See each service for full pricing, or ask Megan which option gives you the best value for your goals.
How many sessions will we need?
It depends on the dog and the goal. Many owners see a real difference after one or two private sessions with consistent practice; bigger behaviour changes usually take a few sessions spread over several weeks. Megan will give you an honest estimate after the first conversation.
My dog is reactive. Can they come to a group class?
Group classes aren't the right starting point for dogs who struggle around other dogs — it's not fair on them. Start with private behaviour support, and Megan will let you know if and when a class becomes a good next step.
Do you work with rescue dogs and older dogs?
Yes. Dogs of any age can learn, and training is always adjusted to the individual dog's history, health and confidence.
